Eastside High School Drama presents “Mean Girls” for their winter theater production on Feb. 1 and 3. Based on the 2004 teen comedy movie written by Tina Fey, “Mean Girls” is about a new girl trying to fit in with the ecosystem of high school cliques. The story is a favorite among teens and is known for its iconic lines: “It’s October third,” “On Wednesdays we wear pink,” and “You go, Glen Coco,” among others.
Performances will be 7 p.m. for four nights, Wednesday, Feb. 1, Thursday, Feb. 2, Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4. Advanced tickets are $5 at the school and $7 at the door.
Eastside Drama students have two upcoming productions planned for the remainder of the school year, an adaptation of F. Scott’s Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby” on April 27-29 and Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” on May 12 and 13, according to Eastside drama teacher Jaclyn Scott.
